![]() Can I make a transaction in my checking account which says "paying credit card X, $nnn amount?" and have that show up as a credit in my credit card account? Maybe I'm just biased by Quicken experience, but this seems like a natural thing, and I don't see how to do it (either automatically or manually) in SEE Finance.įor simple transfers using the "Create Transfer Transaction…" option from the Transactions menu (Command Shift X) allows you to record both sides of a transfer in one simple step. I have a mail into SEE Finance support, though, and maybe someone here can help me out. But, you know, I can search on "0.00" and delete them easily enough, so I'm not stressed about it. ![]() When importing from QIF file on disk, that got put into the memo field, but with the online transfer, it winds up as a second transaction with value 0.00. Data imported from credit card online was OK - there's an issue where the online stuff has two-line entries where the second line is an ID. Data imported from credit card QIF file perfectly, and their duplicate checking seems to work pretty well, which is a big plus after observing a complete lack of sanity checking (or user control) in Quicken Essentials. ![]() Imported accounts from Quicken 2006 had exactly the right total, which is a big plus after the iBank / Vanguard MM problems I was having. Maybe I'll use Quicken Essentials to update that one out-of-date credit card in Quicken 2006 and then return it. Maybe I'll give SEE Finance another chance. I "upgraded" from Quicken 2003 (or so, I can't remember exactly) to 2007 and it's a little better but hardly good enough to justify buying it now. If I was in your shoes I'd just let the terrorists win this one.
